BEFORE YOU WATCH
Who’s Who in the Video
Buckeye Life Group is led by Wendy Baxter, an independent licensed life insurance agent and the agency’s Owner/CEO in Lima, Ohio. Wendy and her team work 100% virtually and are appointed through Equis Financial, an independent marketing organization (IMO) that supports independent agents.
The Business Overview video is presented by CJ, an Executive Vice President at Equis Financial and one of its top-producing agents. His agency is named Flyer Life Group, so you will hear and see a different agency name mentioned in the video. We share this to avoid confusion. The video explains how the business works, our two primary business models, leads, compensation structure, licensing and next steps.
Please note: the video is for your information only. Please do not call the phone number shown on screen. To learn more, schedule a virtual interview with Wendy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Two Ways to Help Families
Our agents focus on two primary business models, both built around protecting families when it matters most.
Provide coverage options for individuals to make sure their mortgage loan is protected for themselves and their family in the event of a death or disability.
Agents contact people from qualified leads who requested their options to protect or pay off their mortgage loans if they pass prior to loan payoff, or become disabled. Agents may also refer clients for more advanced life insurance products. Mortgage protection plans have fixed monthly premiums and a fixed death benefit for the life of the coverage. Most include Living Benefits.
- Tools and training provided so you can start quickly
- Debt Elimination plans and safe money retirement solutions may be offered through referral cases for a commission split
- No cold calling: exclusive, qualified leads available for purchase
- No limit on lead distribution or appointments
- Top-rated carriers to work with
Provide coverage options for individuals to make sure their end-of-life expenses are covered for their family, taking away that financial burden.
These plans have fixed monthly premiums and a fixed death benefit for the life of the coverage. No medical exam required. This model is great for those who are working part-time and possibly want to move to full-time, as no appointment scheduling is needed.
- Interested individuals call the agent directly through a routing source, requesting their coverage options after seeing an advertisement
- No cold calling: agents take the calls as they come in
- Training provided to handle calls efficiently and successfully
- No limit on the number of calls accepted
- Top-rated carriers to work with

Our Clients Need Our Help
Mortgage protection helps make sure that if a loved one dies before the loan is paid off, the family keeps the home instead of the debt. Some policies also build cash value that can be used later for home improvements or unexpected expenses.
Burial/Final Expense plans ensure loved ones’ end-of-life expenses are taken care of, whether they request a traditional burial or cremation.
Generally, most of our plans do not require a medical exam, which can be a good fit for people with pre-existing health conditions.
of adult Americans have some form of life insurance. This includes both policies purchased individually and those provided through an employer. What most people don’t realize is that when they quit, leave, get let go, or retire, in most cases, ex-employees will lose their employer-offered life insurance – leaving them with no life insurance post-employment or in retirement!
