At Buckeye Life Group, our most important asset is our relationship with you.
Buckeye Life Group LLC (“Buckeye Life Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of any personal information about our users. This Privacy & Security Policy explains how we protect personal information provided through our website www.BuckeyeLifeGroup.com (the “Site”) and how we use that information in connection with the information and services offered through the Site (the “Service”). “Personal information” for purposes of this Policy means information that identifies you, such as your name, address, phone number, fax number or email address.
Buckeye Life Group stresses its privacy and security standards to guard against identity theft and provide security for your personal information. We regularly re-evaluate our privacy and security policies and adapt them as necessary to deal with new challenges.

- to respond to your inquiries, schedule and hold calls with you, and fulfill your requests for information, quotes and insurance-related products and services;

- to insurance companies and their service providers, as needed to process your request for a quote or coverage;
- to third-party service providers that help us operate the Site and the Service (such as website hosting, online scheduling, email and form-protection providers) and are bound by confidentiality obligations;
- to enforce Buckeye Life Group’s Terms & Conditions; and
- as otherwise set forth in this Privacy and Security Policy.
2. We limit the collection and use of personal information
You can browse most of the Site without giving us any information. The personal information we collect comes from you and typically includes: (a) the information you enter on our contact form (your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and your message); (b) the information you provide when you book a call through our online scheduling provider (such as your name, email address, phone number and appointment details); (c) information you share with us by phone, email, text or during a call; and (d) the technical information described in Section 4. We use that information only for the purpose for which you gave it to us.
From time to time we may request other personal information to provide you with other benefits of the Service. In all such instances, you will be given the opportunity to provide or to decline to provide that information, and it will be used only for the stated purpose.
If you apply for coverage through us, the information on your application is also handled under the privacy notices of the insurance company involved and applicable federal and Ohio insurance privacy laws. We share it with the insurance company and its service providers only as needed to evaluate and process your request.
Buckeye Life Group may make personal information anonymous or aggregate it, and disclose such data only in a non-personally identifiable manner to organizations approved by Buckeye Life Group that assist with business operations. Such information does not identify you individually.
Access to the personal information you provide is strictly restricted and used in accordance with specific internal procedures and safeguards governing access, in order to operate, develop, or improve the Service. Those with access are selected in accordance with our security policies and practices and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also use third-party vendors or service providers to help us provide the Service to you, such as sending email messages on our behalf, scheduling calls, or hosting and operating a particular feature or functionality of the Site. Our agreements with these third parties outline the appropriate use and handling of your information and prohibit them from using any of your personal information for purposes unrelated to the product or service they’re providing. We require such third parties to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to them.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

If you would like to update, correct or delete the personal information you have given us, email wendy@buckeyelifegroup.com and we will work with you on your request, subject to any information we are required by law or by an insurance company to keep.
4. Online session information and use is only used to improve your experience
When you visit BuckeyeLifeGroup.com, we may collect technical and navigational information, such as computer browser type, Internet protocol address, pages visited, and average time spent on our Site. This information may be used, for example, to analyze and improve our Web design and functionality.
“Cookies” are alphanumeric identifiers in the form of text files that are inserted and stored by your Web browser on your computer’s hard drive. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help block spam. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
5. Third parties offering other products or services will not be given your personal information without your permission
There may be separate products and services offered by third parties that are linked from our Site, such as online scheduling (Calendly), video and social media sites, that may be complementary to your use of BuckeyeLifeGroup.com. If you choose to use these separate products or services, disclose information to the providers, or grant them permission to collect information about you, then their use of your information is governed by their privacy policies. You should evaluate the practices of external service providers before deciding to use their services. Buckeye Life Group is not responsible for their privacy practices. If you click on a link to a third-party site, Buckeye Life Group encourages you to check the privacy policy of that site. Buckeye Life Group may present links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed and whether any action has been taken on a third-party web site. We use this information to improve the quality of the content on the Service.
6. Forums and public posting
Currently, there is no bulletin board, chat room or public comment feature on our Site. Should those ever be implemented, you should be aware that any information you submit there can be read, collected or used by other users and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums. These forums may be hosted by Buckeye Life Group or by one of our third-party service providers on Buckeye Life Group’s behalf.
7. Disclosure of your information to protect our rights or if required by law
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Buckeye Life Group reserves the right (and you authorize Buckeye Life Group) to share or disclose your personal information when Buckeye Life Group determines, in its sole discretion, that the disclosure of such information is necessary or appropriate:

8. Your data may be transferred upon change of control, but only in accordance with this Policy
Personal information may be transferred to a third party as a result of a sale, acquisition, merger, reorganization or other change of control. If we sell, merge or transfer any part of our business, part of the sale may include your personal information. If so, you will be asked if you’d like to stop receiving promotional information following any change of control.
9. Email and text communications from us
If you contact us or book a call, we may email, call or text you about your request. If you give us your mobile number, you agree that we may contact you by call or text message about your request and appointments. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time.
At some time, although not currently, we may allow visitors to subscribe to email newsletters, and from time to time, may send emails promoting Buckeye Life Group or third-party goods or services. You will have the ability to opt out of receiving our promotional emails and terminate newsletter subscriptions by following the instructions in the emails. Opting out in this manner will not end transmission of service-related emails.
10. Your data is secure
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption of the connection between your browser and this Site (HTTPS) and access controls, to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. This site was designed for informational purposes only. No login with user ID or password is required. Should you utilize the site to obtain more information, schedule an appointment or receive information, the information you provide is solely used for business purposes.

We review this Privacy & Security Policy periodically. The date last revised appears at the top of the Policy. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
